San Antonio’s favorite dance party of the summer is back with CumbiaWeen. Disco Alfresco presents CumbiaWeen: a spooky Cumbia costume party under the stars at Sunken Garden Theater, featuring live psychedelic Cumbia from Gio Chamba and a DJ set by Ella Ella. We’re bringing costumes and Cumbia circles to the historic 1930s outdoor amphitheater, with a lowrider trunk-or-treat for the kids, Halloween decorations, and a market of local vendors. Food and non-alcoholic drinks will be available throughout the evening. Bring your cooler. Invite your friends. Give us a reason to remember your costume. Puro spooky. All generations welcome. Children under 15 enter free. Parking is free. Coolers welcome under venue rules: NO GLASS. No alcohol sold on site. Presented by Disco Alfresco, with support from Brackenridge Park Conservancy.
Vendor Instructions
By submitting this application you agree to the following terms. Submission does not guarantee a spot. All category spots are limited. Your spot is confirmed only after approval and payment. BOOTHS- Each vendor is assigned a 12x12 booth space. Organizers provides nothing beyond the space itself. You are responsible for all your own equipment: tent, tables, chairs, display fixtures, lighting. You must use TENT weights. Table spaces are available. POWER- There is very limited power available. Booths with power have an up-charge. Bring your own battery-powered lighting and equipment. No generators unless PRE-Approved. SETUP + BREAKDOWN- Load-in begins at 4PM. You must be fully set up and all vehicles cleared from the venue by 5:30 PM. Gates open at 6:00 PM to the public. Breakdown begins no earlier than 10:30 PM. No vehicles are allowed in the venue until ALL attendees are cleared out. You must be operational the entire duration of the event: 6-10pm. LATE ARRIVALS- Late arrivals after 5:30 PM may loose your spot. Be on time. CONDUCT- Maintain a clean, welcoming, professional presence. You are responsible for all trash in and around your space - bag it and place it in designated dumpster on the way out. Aggressive sales behavior or conduct inconsistent with DAF's community standards may result in removal. NO ALCOHOL SALES- DAF operates as BYOB. Alcohol sales are strictly prohibited. Any vendor found selling alcohol will be removed immediately and permanently banned from future DAF events. No refund will be issued. NO GLASS - You are not permitted to sell any beverages in glass containers. REQUIRED DOCUMENTS: City of San Antonio Mobile Food Vendor Permit -- current and valid. Texas Food Handler Certificate -- all handlers on site. Certificate of Insurance - general liability. PERMITS+TAXES- You are responsible for holding a valid Texas Sales and Use Tax Permit and for collecting and remitting Texas state sales tax (8.25% in San Antonio) on all taxable sales. Disco Alfresco is NOT responsible for your tax compliance. MARKETING- Disco Al Fresco will occasionally promote your business before, during or after your confirmed date depending on our own promotional marketing schedule. You agree to share the event announcement at least once and tag @disco_alfresco in all posts related to your appearance. You are also welcome to create your own dedicated social media campaign, make sure you tag both accounts in all marketing please. CANCELLATION- Once you are approved we will not issue any refunds. If Disco Alfresco cancels due to weather or force majeure, you will get a refund. LIABILITY- You assume full responsibility for your equipment, products, and operations. You agree to hold harmless SoundCream LLC, Disco Alfresco, The Brackenridge Park Conservancy, and the City of San Antonio from any claims arising from your participation or operations at the event.
