
Reverse appliqué is an art form in which two layers of fabric are sewn together to create a design. The design is marked on the top fabric, then parts of it are cut away and hand stitched to reveal the background fabric. Batik wearable arts,is a technique of wax-resist dyeing applied to whole cloth, or cloth made using this technique. Removing the wax with boiling water, and repeating if multiple colours are desired.
